New Hampshire’s Low and Moderate Income Homeowners Property Tax Relief program rebates all or a portion of the State Education property tax shown on you bill.
You likely qualify if you live alone in a home you own and your income is below $37,000, or the combined income of all adults in the home is below $47,000. Income is measured by the adjusted gross income found on line 11 of your 2022 income tax form.
You can receive a rebate even if you have not yet paid your 2022 property tax bill. You must provide a copy of your 2022 year-end property tax bill and your IRS 1040 (only if you are required to file).
New this year taxpayers can apply online AND for the first time ever get direct deposit!
More information and how to apply for the rebate is here: https://www.revenue.nh.gov/forms/low-moderate.htm .
Call the State Department of Revenue Administration at 603.230.5920 to request a form by mail or for help completing the form. Your library, tax collector or senior center may also be able to help.
